Cooking Safety

Keep a close eye on your cooking.  Never leave food unattended on the stove while you run next door or to the store.

Be sure to keep pets and kids at least three feet from the stove when cooking.

Keep all combustible items off of the stove top when cooking.

Be sure to clean up all grease when cooking.

Be sure to clean up all grease when cooking is completed.  Grease is flammable and a build up of grease may cause a fire.

Turn all pot handles toward the back of the stove so that you will not accidentally bump a hot pot or pan off of the stove.

Have a lid next to the pot or pan you are using so that if a flash fire occurs, you can quickly cover the pot or pan and extinguish the flames.
